Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are the floor plans on your site my only options?
A: No. The designs on our website are either from homes we’ve built, or concepts from our designers.
Q: I’d like to have a home with a basement, is that possible?
A: Yes! One requirement for our homes is to either be set on an 8’ or 9’ basement, or 4’ crawlspace.
Q: What size of homes do you build?
A: The size of our homes varies from customer to customer. Whether you’re looking for a 350 sqft cabin, or a 2200 sqft family home, we can accommodate.
Q: What are the maximum dimensions?
A: Our homes can be at most 36’ wide by 80’ long, or 2880 square feet.
Q: Can you build a home with a second story or loft?
A: Unfortunately no. We are limited to a 16’ maximum height on our homes, this generally does not allow for proper headroom in loft areas.
Q: When the home arrives, am I ready to move it?
A: There are some items that must be taken care of after the home arrives. Below is a list of these items, and a brief description of why.
-Flooring – Many flooring products require consistent temperatures or time to acclimate before installation. During the move and after the home is set down maintaining a consistent temperature is not possible.
-Appliances – Appliances are one of the last items moved into the home after the flooring and touch-up work is complete. Since the home is shipped without flooring, including appliances would mean moving them multiple times, risking damage.
-Heating & Cooling System – Mechanical equipment is generally set in the lower level of the home, be it crawlspace or basement, and must be done on site after the home is delivered and set.
-Lighting Fixtures – If you’ve ever been to a lighting store you know, the options are endless. Our customers generally will go to a lighting supply store, select their fixtures, and our electricians will install them.
Q: How far can you move your homes?
A: Most of our homes have move throughout the state of North Dakota. We are able to move to other states as long as road conditions allow.
